Once in a while, a hotel comes along that is breath- takingly original and truly one-of-a-kind. The Silo Hotel is a game-changer. The Silo is a brilliantly imaginative mixture of the traditional and the contemporary, a place where modern African art feels improbably at home with the industrial past of colonial Cape Town. I can’t recall the last time I visited a new hotel that I found so exhilarating and that seemed such an instantaneous addition to the life and character of a city.

The 56-panel windows, forged locally and hoisted by crane into their frames, are a visual interpretation of the immense pressure of the grain once packed in the silos, and how it might bulge out of an opening.

Excellent location with great interior in every rooms. Service is impeccable, room is very spacious, great view from the room. Breakfast is fantastic, and the rooftop area is really great to hangout or just relax with a killer view. Staff are very friendly and helpful, from the moment you enter the hotel, reception team, restaurants staff, all really made our day during our stay.
